The request for precautionary measures against the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights was compiled by MADRE, KOFAVIV, FAVILEK, KONAMAVID, and other affiliates on behalf of Haitian women who were victims or were under threat of sexual violence in camps for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) after the 2010 earthquake. Among the requests were precautionary measures to prevent further instances of sexual violence, greater protections and services in camps, and site visits by the Commission to investigate the camps. The document contains declarations from women who were subject to sexual violence after the earthquake, medical records, and other relevant documents.
